Capponara is a basket made from willows harvested in Vicenza area, Italy. Mario Brocchi is the maker who grows and weaving this natural material, extremely as flexible when it's wet as very durable and hard when dried.
The technique of weaving used is called "capponara" and it was used in the rural area upside-down to keep safe the little chicks and its clucking. For that reason it has a decorated hole on the bottom, a real particularity of this kind of basket.
This basket is for indoor use only and it can suits as container use or as the particular bottom to hung up on the wall.
